CEDAR RAPIDS – No. 9 Kirkwood Community College swept NIACC in an ICCAC softball doubleheader on Friday.
Kirkwood won the opener 8-0 and took the nightcap 6-0. The Eagles improved to 24-3 overall and 10-0 in the ICCAC.
NIACC (5-7, 0-4) returns to action today in a doubleheader at Southwestern in Creston starting at 1 p.m.
Southwestern (10-8, 3-5) split a twinbill with Central Community College-Columbus (Nebraska) on Thursday. Central Community College won the opener 8-2 and Southwestern salvaged a split with a 12-4 win in the second game.
