AMES, Iowa – March 12, 2013 – Today, the Iowa Transportation Commission approved a Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy (RISE) grant application submitted by the city of Marshalltown. Up to $237,616 will be made available to assistin construction of approximately 1,000 feet of South Street, which is located on the southeast side of town in the industrial park. This project is anticipated to be completed by August 2013.
This project is necessary to provide access to more than 32 acres for industrial purposes.
Funding for the grant comes from the city share of the RISE Fund.
