Klemme man arrested for failure to comply with sex offender registry

GARNER – A Klemme man was arrested for failure to comply with sex offender registry.

Octavio Alonzo, 23, was arrested by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, November 29th, 2012 on the charge of failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

The criminal complaint filed with the clerk of court alleges Alonzo had previously registered as a sex offender in WrightCounty but was living in Klemme and working in Forest City.

The charge is a classC felony because the underlying sex offense was committed against a minor.

Alonzo is being held in the HAncock County Jail an a $10,000 bond.  If convicted, he faces up to ten years in prison and a fine of $10,000.
