MASON CITY – Around 4:20 PM Friday, a two vehicle accident occurred on Highway 122 and South Rhode Island causing injuries.
A 41 year old female was taken, by ambulance, to Mercy Medical Hospital in Mason City. It was reported that she was hit from behind, while not moving, waiting to turn.
A second injury was a fifteen year old that was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle.
Mason City Police Department were on the scene directing traffic. The inside lane was down for awhile, due to high traffic at that time of day.
No further information was immediately available.
