MASON CITY – The U.S. Marshals fugitive task force has contacted the Mason City Police Department for help locating a potentially dangerous fugitive.
Area law enforcement agencies are asked to be on the lookout for Michael Duane Strain. Strain is wanted for possession of a firearm as a felon and is considered armed and dangerous.
According to Marshals, Strain has connections to Northern Iowa, and Southern Minnesota, including the Rochester area. Strain has sovereign citizen beliefs and was last known to be living in Elma, Iowa.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of Strain, please contact your local law enforcement agency.

Much to Everyones dismay, This man is a God Fearing Man and not a nut case. He is very sweet and doesnt go down the streets terrorizing people. He just simply has a bad time with getting along with the gov’t. AND to make the feds more pissed off…he was trained by the gov’t.(marines) Dont believe everything you hear, if you saw him on the street he wouldnt harm you unless you were harming him first. (flight or fight instinct)
First off this man is not a terrorist… And that is a picture to depict him this man in a certain light. He is more likely to terrorize with bible passages then anything. He was a marine so you dumb comments are again mute. The government should be worried about catching traffickers, murderers, and rapists not people that drive with out a licence. He spreads knowledge about a lifestyle the government doesn’t approve of, he is not part of a milita. I know that is a common misconception with the sheep of America and law and order and all those other television programs portray sovereign citizens as these antigovernment, gun hoarding, dangerous people…but they are not all like that.
Second don’t get your information of Wikipedia… Native Americans are classified as sovereign… So you are saying they are terrorist? What they basically do is deny their citizens to the United States of America and become a independent of America. Because we are just numbers to the federal reserve…whiche is now owned by China anyway. They petition to get their birth certificate and social security destroyed. They follow the original constitution. Example we have the right to travel, right to own a gun, etc.
So the charges on this man are bogus anyway, he was never in possession of the supposed guns they were in the house he was outside of mowing the lawn… When they arrested him they didn’t find the guns on him and they let him go with a $100 bond… So this is all BULLSHIT.
Since when does God fearing mean you’re NOT a nut case?
What defines a person a person as a nut case then? You all sit at home judging a person you have never met… Believing lies a government feeds you, while they slowly kill you… That seems like insane to me.

Sovereign citizens don’t believe they are subject to federal laws. They are militant terrorist nut cases.
