Seeing the picture of the people in hats and suspenders, could that be anymore “Hicksville” if you tried?? Talk about cornpone!!
Heard they moved to MPLS with their son Tim. Great family in a bad situation.
Damn I hope they didnt sell out of all those hats and suspenders! They would have come in handy during harvest if I even have one.
A wonderful family and a real asset to this community. To hard to compete with all the other floral outlets…times change but often people do not.
What are all the Kriegers doing now since the greenhouse is closed?
I knew Herb and his wife Karen all my life. I even used to work at Skyland Pool for Herb’s Mother and Father. What a damn shame. It sure seems like after being in business all these years Welss Fargo could have found some way to help them out. Welcome to the Golden Years.
I didnt think they went under. The rumor i heard is that the son just didnt want to take it over….went into some kind of construction work when he went to NIACC.
Unfortunately it was in the GLOB as a eviction and repossesion by Wells Fargo. The bank is just here to help. Help put good folks out of business. They employeed a lot of people over the years and were always donating flowers and plants to the city and other functions and churches as well. Good people gone from the city and the tax base. Not a word in the GLOB about this loss of jobs.
