AMES, Iowa – July 10, 2012 – The Iowa Department of Transportation is requesting the public’s input on the proposed replacement of a bridge on Iowa 15 over Black Cat Creek, 2.9 miles south of Kossuth County Road A-42.
The project provides for replacement of the bridge with a reinforced box culvert, removal of the bridge guardrail and handrail, and replacement of the bridge deck with a concrete patch.
Traffic on Iowa 15 would be maintained during construction of the box culvert. However, traffic would be detoured during the bridge deck replacement using Kossuth County roads B-19, P-20 and A-42.
