Peter let me ask you this. how many people have died from the making of Cheerios?
and how are now in a grave because some stupid ass and making/using meth? i’m only talking about the ones killed by the stupid ass who was making/using that were for (lack of a better word) were caught in the cross fire.
perhaps maybe you should not sniff that stuff so must. just saying
That was a very ignorant 1st comment to this story. If drugs were solo in who they affected, no one would give a crap who did what- but the sad truth is drugs make people do things that hurt others. When was the last time you saw a drug addict work a good job, pay his or her own bills honestly without theft, or selling drugs to kids etc. Duh
What’s really sorry, is our government spends time and resources trying to lock people up for putting something into their own bodies. Stop and think about this for a moment. 1. Your Body…not the government’s. 2. You make choices what you put into your body. I choose to eat Cheerios, some people may eat Fruity Pebbles or Cocoa Puffs, or Rice Krispies. Imagine if the government were to outlaw Cheerios and tell me I could only eat the cereals they prescribed. What would you say about that? Also, do you think it should be against the law if you want to drink chlorine bleach? It’s clear that if you were to drink a large amount of chlorine bleach, you would become sick, deranged, and possibly die. Yet I see know laws on the books prohibiting the possession, sale, or transfer or ingestion of chlorine bleach. You have to break things down into logic before you go willy nilly prohibiting substances and plants.
The government’s logic is flawed, and always has been.
Drugs fall under freedom of consumers and freedom of commerce. Basically the pharmaceutical industry doesn’t like that people could be self medicating themselves out from under their control. Add to that the liquor and alcohol industries stranglehold over intoxicants, throw some moral prohibition by religious zealots, and you can begin to understand the drug laws in this company. Don’t forget the prison industrial complex as well which gains easy prey from arresting and convicting drug offenders on the tax payer’s dime.
I don’t know this man from the next, so I’m not defending his character, but I am attacking the overall policy of the government which is highly illogical and flawed.
Peter,
You cant be serious this time. Been spending too much time with Jesse Ventura have we?
I think you should go visit and spend some time with hardcore drug users. Not talking about weed here either. Go spend time with heroin, crack, or meth users for awhile. These people are desperate people who will kill, burglarize, rape, and eat peoples faces off, as seen in Florida recently. For you to sit there and compare drug enforcement to eating cereal makes you sound dumb.
Step outside your cozy little box, and go witness these users, than tell me we should all be able to do whatever we want, whenever we want.
Fool!!
Nice logic Peter.
Sorry A** looking old man.
65 and doing meth….shaking my head.
