MASON CITY – North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) Student Senate and College Entrepreneurial Organization (CEO) clubs will sponsor a Thanksgiving Food Drive, November 7 to 11, with all items collected being donated to the Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank.

Students will also be at Hy-Vee East and Hy-Vee West on Wednesday, November 9 from 4-6 p.m. to collect donations.

“Our goal is to raise awareness for the issues of hunger in our area,” said Brandon Glaze, information officer for the NIACC Student Senate. “Boxes will also be placed around the NIACC campus for donations.”

Donated items that would be appreciated, include: instant potatoes; canned yams; canned cranberries; any canned vegetable; stuffing; evaporated milk; pumpkin pie mix; gravy mixes; dessert mixes; or any other non-perishable food item.
