Charles City man sent to prison for 50 years for murder of Mason City man

CHARLES CITY – A Charles City earlier found guilty of murder by a jury after he shot and killed a Mason City man in June has received a 50 year prison sentence.

In July, the Chicago Police Department took 36-year-old Antoine Tyree Williams into custody on a warrant for first-degree murder issued from an incident which took place in Charles City on June 30, 2017 at 9:46 hours in the 2100 block of Clarkview Drive.

The victim in this homicide, killed by firearm, was identified as Nathaniel Fleming, age 36. His last address was in Mason City.

Williams entered a not-guilty plea in the case and stood trial before a jury. After deliberation, the jury found Williams guilty of second-degree murder.

At sentencing last week, Williams was sentenced to up to 50 years in prison.

Women and children first. And a ‘thank you’ goes a long way in that respectability that so many people crave. This guy has none of them attributes. For whatever reason ‘shortcuts’ is the name of the game form where he hails from. Scary has the streets become of late.

They should just shoot him like they do in China. That way we wouldn’t have to pay taxes to support him for 50 years.
