MASON CITY – Police investigated a downtown fight this weekend which led to the arrest of a woman.
Mason City police tell NIT that at about 2 AM on May 21, a person called police to report two males were fighting near the mall, just outside the north doors at the pedestrian shopping area. Apparently, one male had taken the other’s keys. Police responded to the scene, but say “It’s not clear exactly what happened or who was involved. The keys appear to have been located.
However, police made an arrest while they were there. Katie Lyn Johnson, age 32 of Mason City, was arrested for Public Intoxication. She was taken to the county jail, booked and released pending a court date.
The headline implies the woman was in the fight.
The article says it was two men.
