DES MOINES – Liberals in Iowa are demanding that Joni Ernst and Steve King return campaign donations from a white supremacist and are now claiming victory after both will donate the money to a charity.
The Cedar Rapids Gazette reported Monday that Earl Holt, “a known white supremacist leader” made donations totaling $2,500 to U.S. Rep. Steve King and $1,000 to U.S. Senator Joni Ernst.
Now, Iowa liberals are fuming in the wake of last week’s shooting tragedy in South Carolina that took the lives of 9 innocents, and are demanding that both Republican politicians give the money back
“It is deplorable that King and Ernst have taken thousands of dollars from a known white supremacist leader,” Progress Iowa said Monday. “They should be ashamed to have taken these donations from Earl Holt to begin with, and both should immediately return these contributions.”
It’s been reported that fellow GOP’er Ted Cruz returned money to Holt already.
Progress Iowa earlier Monday demanded action from Ernst and King, who has made questionable remarks about the physical characteristics of Latinos in the past.
Iowans were rocked with the news out of Charleston last week, and as the entire nation attempts to heal, our leaders can’t just talk,” Progress Iowa – a left wing political group – said. “They have to act. King and Ernst should start by returning Holt’s donations, and by publicly admonishing him for inciting this act of terror.”
Later Monday evening, Progress Iowa gleefully proclaimed victory, saying “Congressman Steve King and Senator Joni Ernst have agreed not only to return the donations they received from white supremacist Earl Holt — they are sending those thousands of dollars to the Mother Emanuel Hope Fund, established to support the victims of last week’s shooting.
Your response to this effort was tremendous — 1,068 petition signers in less than four hours!”

I draw the line with communist and socialist. They are tearing our country apart. Look at what Osama Obama has done. He has set race relations back 100 years and what he has done to the police is cause for impeachment.

I will bet King and Ernst will not return a dime. They are hypocrites they will condemn Hillary for money she has accepted from people overseas but they will not stand up to racism in their own country.

Look at them jumping on the bandwagon. I believe they can accept donations from anyone they want as long as there is no conflict. They may personally decide to return the money but these clowns have no right to demand anything. Demand Hillary return all of her illegal money and worry about your own. No one pays any attention to this bunch anyway.
