MASON CITY – A Mason City teen was hurt over the weekend after a car struck him while he was riding his bike.
Officers were dispatched for a collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle on Friday, April 17 at about 6:33 PM. The incident was at 6th Street SE and South Tennessee Place. The driver of the vehicle, Donald James Carlson, age 46 of Forest City, was cited for driving with a suspended license and operation without registration. His vehicle was not towed from the scene.
The bike rider, Parker Holland-Dunn, age 14 of Mason City, received minor injuries and was checked at the scene.
A state accident report was completed.
Why would they let him drive away? What is wrong with the police that they could possibly let this happen?
Sure could have used that impound law, let’s git er done.
