CLEAR LAKE – Little Black Dress Night will be held on Thursday, May 31st at The Island Bar and Grille in Clear Lake from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The fundraising event is celebrating its 6th year and will feature celebrity wait staff whose tips will be donated to the American Cancer Society in Cerro Gordo County and the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.
The event includes a live auction with Randy Black, a sexy shoe contest, karaoke fundraising with Kirk’s Custom DJ, NYC streetscape photo op with Rebecca Lynne Photography, and much more.
The proceeds from this year’s event are being split between the Cerro Gordo County American Cancer Society and the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. It was decided to split the proceeds as several event committee members have benefited from the services of the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital including: Quentin Maulsby, son of Grant and Christina Maulsby, and Jayhna Schinagel, daughter of Nikki Schinagel.
This year’s event is being sponsored by: Star 106, 93.0 The Country Moose, Super Hits 102-7, AM 1300 KGLO, 1490 KRIB, The Blaze Online, The Island Bar & Grille, Moorman Clothiers and LeDoux Signs.
A $10 cover charge gives participants full access to all the night’s festivities.
Celebrity wait staff will serve a special drink created just for Little Black Dress Night, called the “Little Pink Drink”. The bartenders will be working hard for tips that will be donated to the event. This year’s celebrity wait staff includes: Shane Delany, Jared Devries, Troy Elwood, Amy Fleming, Tim Fleming, A.J. Feurbach, Ed Halbach, Tom Kirby, Joe Malone, Eric Perry, Savannah Reading, Gwen Seiwert, and Beth Tuttle.
The event will be emceed by Jared Allen of Star 106.
There were alot of beautiful ladies with black dresses, all shapes & sizes! This is a fund-raiser, not (match.com) I can only guess that you might be mistaken for Jon BonJovi or David Beckam?

Oh joy, Jared Allen as the emcee. Now that’s something that I personally am not interested in. Can’t stand to listen to him lisping on the radio, and then you got Joe Malone. Hope he showers before, gross.
The dresses may be black, but few will be little.
Of course half of the money raised will go to University of Iowa….Star 106 has a radiothon for the hospital every year. There’s nothing wrong with money being donated there, but this shows how 3 Eagles Communications and their general manager Dalena Barz monopolizes everything for their own advantage, and pushes the other media outlets in the community out, except for KIMT of course, gotta get that whole Fleming family involved. They apparently have pushed North Iowa Broadcasting and Jay Brooks out of this event also…sad, he’s been a part of this since the beginning.
Hope they aren’t raising money for liver cancer.
