MASON CITY – Actress Ashley Judd and Actor Ben McKenzie talked on President Obama’s behalf Friday afternoon at the Cerro Gordo County Democratic Headquarters on North Federal Ave. in Mason City.
“There are a lot of people excited to hear them campaign for President Obama,” said Sharon Steckman earlier Friday morning.
McKenzie came in first and said, “They have money, we have resources on the ground. We have this room, we have the people in this room and 50 offices all over the state. We have to make those calls, talk to people one-on-on and talk to them from our hearts.”
He checked out the volunteer list on the wall and asked people to volunteer and get involved.
Judd talked about medical issues, farming and economy issues, women and their job losses and how it’s changed. “1.3 million jobs have been added to the private sector.”
Judd and McKenzie are traveling around in an RV that reads “Heartland Tour 2012.” They have scheduled stops in Adel, Ames, Anamosa, Burlington, Carroll, Cedar Rapids, Centerville, Clinton, Council Bluf, Davenport, Denison, Des Moines, Dewitt, Eldridge, Fort Madison, Jefferson, Maquoketa, Mashalltown, Muscatine and Waterloo, along with Mason City.
Kaya Schafer and Carter Johnson, both Seniors at North Butler High School, volunteered to make some phone calls for the Democratic Office. They called Des Moines area residents, informing them of the appearance of the President Saturday morning and where they could get their free tickets.
“I’m looking into a future involving International Relations,” said Schafer. “Politics sparked my interest while I was in Ames at the Iowa American Legion Auxiliary Girls State.”

Maybe if the senile Clint Eastwood gets lost and ends up at local RepubliLIARS headquarters you could get an interview with him and his empty chair. Don’t just listen to redric, home values are down 30-50 percent, wake up America unless you want to see a total collapse on our government, economy and way of life as you know it keep voting democratic and all the bottom fetters will go from three kids on welfare to six and you will be paying for it, and lets not forget there free cell phones, childcare, housing, food, car repairs, medical, dental, eye care, weatherization, memberships, soup kitchen, and if you move to California illegal immigrants can go to college for FREEEEEEE!!!

Things are not looking good for Obama in Iowa this time. He has been in Iowa more this year so far than any other state. (For our small 6 electoral votes.)
Inside polling numbers are not doing well in Iowa for Obama.
