Mason City man accused of domestic assault jailed for violating protective order

MASON CITY – A Mason City man facing felony domestic assault involving strangulation is in jail Saturday for violating the court-imposed protective order in the case.

Jesse Lewis Halfpop, age 23, was arrested Saturday afternoon after police investigated a possible no-contact order violation. Officers determined that Halfpop had made the violation and took him to jail, where he is being held on no bond.

Halfpop had been arrested in the early morning of November 23 after police were called to 1050 East State Street to deal with a domestic assault. After an investigation, police determined that Halfpop had been the aggressor in a domestic incident which included the act of strangulation, a felony in the state of Iowa. He was jailed and later released on bond. On December 1, Halfpop pleaded not guilty and a preliminary hearing was waived. No court date has yet been set.

Familiar name. Lock him up and leave him there.

I told you he would be back in jail within a month. Remember this jerk had that shitty smirk on his face? To bad someone in jail couldn’t give him a little TLC!!!
