Doris Bryant, 96 of Rutland, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Long-Term Care Unit at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. A celebration of Doris’ life will be held on a later date this summer. Services have been entrusted to Lentz Funeral Home of Humboldt. Doris Darlene Bryant, the daughter of Earl and Norma (Newby) Kraft, was born on July 5, 1929, in Terril, Iowa. Doris graduated from Terril high school. Doris was employed as the Dietary Supervisor for the North and South Care Centers in Humboldt for many years until her retirement.

Doris loved spending time with her family; that was her greatest joy in life. She enjoyed feeding birds on her patio, planting flowers in the spring, mowing her lawn on a riding mower, reading, and binge watching new TV series.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: David Bryant of Gilmore City; Debra Bryant Quarnberg of Wellington, Colorado; Laura (Dennis) Bensavage of Meyersdale, Pennsylvania; Tim (Rita) Bryant of Fort Dodge and Terri (Tom) Bryant Stufflebean of Humboldt; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Cathi Niles; parents: Earl and Norma Kraft; brothers Dick Kraft and Bob Kraft; sisters Donna Armstrong, Dorothy Spiess and Carol Meyer; two grandsons: Troy Gould and Aaron Bryant and three nieces and nephews.
