June 4, 1934 – February 24, 2026

Louise Caroline Mary Conry, 91, of New Hampton passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026 at New Hampton Medical Hospital surrounded by her family. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 10:30 am at Holy Family Parish, New Hampton with a visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service in the church basement. Louise will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Greene, IA at 2:30 pm. Woodley Funeral Home in Greene is handling the arrangements.

Louise was born in Alta Vista, IA to Walter and Beatrice (Roethler) Boehmer on June 4, 1934. On August 21, 1952, Louise was united in marriage to Maurice Conry at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Alta Vista. To this union, six children were born: John, Jane, Jim, Jeff, Joe and Jason. The couple made their home in New Hampton. Louise never met a stranger. Everyone became family to her. Her family was unlimited with whom she opened her doors. Louise had strength that went unseen most of the time. Through some very hard times, and with Maurie traveling for work, she singlehandedly saw that the homefront stayed quite organized. She was humble with what she had been through and always had an ear for anyone else to confide in her. Louise owned her own business and being a pillar in the community, she always had time to help her children and grandchildren.

Louise is survived by her children: John (Patsi) Conry of Fairfield Bay, AR; Jane (Tom) Shekleton of New Hampton, IA; Jeff (Sher) Conry of Greensboro, GA; and Joe Conry (Sharon) of North Liberty, IA; 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice, and her sons, Jim and Jason.

Our Mother signed our birth certificates
And we signed her death certificate

Our Mom chose our first outfit
And we chose her last

Our Mom watched us take our first breath
And we saw her taking her last
