MARSHALLTOWN – This east coast kiddie photo hoarder was tooling around on his bike in Iowa when cops rudely and abruptly introduced him to justice.

On January 24, 2026, officers with the Marshalltown, Iowa police department apparently spotted 39-year-old Thor Scofield in their community. That evening, Scofield was tooling around town on a bicycle when cops noticed him. They had information that he was wanted on a Nationwide warrant out of Virginia for Possession of child pornography. However, police said that when they made their first move on Scofield, “he decided to take off. As you can see, this did not work out so well for Thor.”

And work out for Thor, it did not.

Scofield (pictured at top, fleeing cops, and in a jail photo) was spotted on a bicycle near a Kwik Star gas station, and attempted to flee. However, he then crashed his bike as cops closed in, and then got up and ran. However, fleet-footed officers hopped out of their cruisers, and after a short chase, tackled him in a yard and placed him under arrest, a police video showed.

Scofield in now in the Marshall county jail, awaiting court appearances.
