MASON CITY – The Mason City fire department held a retirement ceremony for Craig Warner and Bob Rush to honor their careers as firefighters that served the community.

On Friday, March 21, Mason City fire department had the privilege of celebrating the retirements of Lieutenant Craig Warner and Lieutenant Bob Rush after their years of dedication and service to the City of Mason City.

“It was a great ceremony filled with gratitude, memories, and appreciation for these two outstanding firefighters,” the department said. “Their contributions have made a lasting impact on our department and community.

“We hope Craig and Bob enjoy their well-earned retirement and look back on their careers with a deep sense of pride. Thank you for your service!”

Both public servants received retirement gifts as a parting tribute.

Mason City administrator Aaron Burnett attended and said a few words to mark the occasion.
