HAWKEYE, IOWA – A Northern Iowa man allegedly assaulted a female and put a child in danger, then fled the scene of the incident, but cops caught up with him with a list of charges.
On February 16, 2025, at approximately 9:06 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Hawkeye that occurred earlier the same day. The suspect, 37-year-old Joshua Daniel Webber, had fled the scene after allegedly assaulting a female at the residence in Hawkeye. Webber was later located at a residence in New Hampton, placed under arrest and transported to the Fayette County Jail.
Webber was charged with the following crimes:
– Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury
– False Imprisonment
– Child Endangerment
Webber posted 10% of $4,000 cash bond and was released from jail the same day. He now awaits a preliminary hearing set for March 4.
