LARCHWOOD, IOWA – A young Iowa man’s life was tragically cut short after he lost control of his car and struck a tree.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place on December 27, 2024. At 8:30 PM that evening, 21-year-old Jenner Nicholas Johnson of Inwood, Iowa, was driving his 2013 Chrysler 200 automobile on 180th Street near Ashley Avenue. He drove the Chrysler straight off a curve, into the north ditch and hit a tree. Although he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, Johnson did not survive.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted in the accident by Larchwood Fire and EMS and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
