JAKARTA, Feb. 13 (UPI) — The U.S. Congress has approved giving $1.56 billion to Indonesia for the purchase of military equipment, a top military official said Wednesday.

Army Chief of Staff Gen. Pramono Edhie Wibowo said the money would be used to replace old weaponry, the Indonesian news agency Antara reported.

Wibowo said the military is looking to acquire tanks and cannons as well as rockets with a range of 60 miles.

The army also will purchase 24 Bell 412-type helicopters and is negotiating to buy 20 Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters.

Yup, let’s arm another country where radical Islamics live.

Cutting OUR defense budget and building foreign military capabilities that will probably be turned on us. Stupid is as stupid does…..

This should be to the benefit of the private sector working class (BTW this is now Americas low income sector – Most people on welfare are better off!

We are deep in debt and keep borrowing money to give it to country’s that don’t like us. Boy are we STUPID.

We are trillions of dollars in debt and we are giving our money away they must watch Mason City budget meeting and council meetings to get the idea this is a good thing! When will it ever stop. I to feel sorry for the our children.

500 million to Palestinians, 18 million to Afghanistan, 1.56 billion to Indonesia, when does it end. No wonder this country is going down the tubes. The USA, soon to be a third world country. I feel sorry for our children and grand children.
