MASON CITY – A Mason City was allegedly intoxicated when she lost control of her Dodge Durango and crashed in a field.
According to police, at 4:37 AM on September 14, 2024, Mason City police officers and other emergency responders were called to the scene of an accident on 12th Street NW, just west of Eisenhower Avenue. 27-year-old Sabrina Burke of Mason City was driving a 2023 Dodge Durango when she drove off the roadway, hit a field entrance, and overturned the vehicle.
Niether Burke, nor her two passengers, were hurt, police say, but after an investigation, she was arrested on the following charges:
– First-offense operating while intoxicated
– Child endangerment
– failure to maintain control
Burke (pictured at top) was jailed and soon released. She now faces a preliminary hearing on October 4.
