Mark William Rumeliote, 54, of Mason City, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 7, 2024.
The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
Mark was born July 29, 1970 in Mason City; son of Bill and Patricia (Hoverson) Rumeliote. He graduated from Waubun High School with the class of 1988. He spent many of his working years in the cattle industry.
Mark was a soft spoken and caring individual. Many recognize him for his generosity and big heart. He told some of the best stories and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs, traveling, cooking BBQ, and fishing. Animals were his passion. Whether it was working with cattle, feeding the ducks, or watching dogs; animals have always been a huge part of his life.
Throughout his life, Mark made many lifelong friends. Thank you: Jackie Carpenter and families; Steve Bombella and family; Brad Thede and families; Derek McGill and families; Larry Swiers and family; and Davey Johnson and family, for all being a part of Mark’s life.
Those left to honor his memory are his mother, Pat; siblings, Mike (Cindy) Rumeliote, Michelle (Bob) Nuehring, Matt Rumeliote, and Monty (Karen) Rumeliote; nieces and nephew, Madison Rumeliote, Taylor and Thomas Nuehring; great-nephew, Teddy; grandmother, Pauline Rumeliote; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Preceding him in death are his father Bill; grandparents; and cousin Rob Jackson.
