His work life began at an early age where he worked at a Rendering Plant. Throughout the years he had numerous jobs but his most prominent were at Armour for 14 years, working his way up to First Sergeant for the National Guard to which he devoted 20 years to, and most recently his favorite was as an orderly at MercyOne.
In his free time he enjoyed camping at Rock Falls, NASCAR, walking and cooking. Ray was often known to even sing while he was cooking meals, making a not so fun task more enjoyable.
Those left to cherish Ray’s memories are his children, Candace (Martin Benson) McCaslin, David Lindloff, and Darla (Scott) Spratt; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, siblings, Richard (Donna) Lindloff, Shirley (Larry) Welch, Marcia (Donald) Schwartz; sister-in-law, Thelma Lindloff, beloved dog, Oscar; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
