College Basketball: Iowa 85, Cal Poly 59

IOWA CITY – Iowa beat another cupcake Sunday in Carver-Hawkeye Arena, this time drubbing Cal Poly 85-59.

Iowa redshirt freshman CJ Fredrick registered a career-high 21 points on 5-of-5 shooting from 3pt range.  Cordell Pemsl appears to possibly be rounding into form, as he recorded a season-high with 10 points.  For the third straight game Connor McCaffery has dished out seven assists.  Freshman Joe Toussaint grabbed a career-high eight rebounds tonight.

Iowa guard Jordan Bohannon sat out the game as the team ponders a redshirt for him.

Iowa returns to action on Thanksgiving evening against nationally-ranked Texas Tech in the Las Vegas Invitational at the Orleans Arena. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. (CT) and will be televised nationally on FS1.
