NASHVILLE, TN – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee this week signed a proclamation declaring today “Nathan Bedford Forrest Day” honoring the first Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.
Reportedly, Lee is “required” by Tennessee law to sign the proclamation. State law requires the Governor to recognize several “days of special observation” including:
Abraham Lincoln
Military Veterans
Andrew Jackson
Robert E. Lee
Nathan Bedford Forrest
Confederate Memorial Day
Lee claims he has not considered changing the law.
Nathan Bedford Forrest was a Confederate soldier, racist and traitor to the United States who fought on the wrong end of the Civil War.
So where is the jackass going robert e lee…. bill lee. RACISM!!!!!! booohooooo wah wah. waiting.
good. we let these stupidkids destroy as much history as they could down south toppling those statues. let forrest be celebrated. it’s a stupid dangerous thing to forget or cover up history.
Obama was everyone’s president, for four years.
I voted for him and almost instantly regretted every bit of it. he was not my president for either of his two terms. 8 years. youre a bright one.
Only in the USA, we celebrate losers….
history is important and after we let modern losers tear down statues and scream and whine and cry in the streets someone needs to make an effort to ensure that both sides of the civil war are represented and explained. liberals. you people want to suppress knowledge historical information and facts, you think censorship is acceptable. What’s next for you liberals? why not just get out there and start torching all the book’s? It really is the last step in your ever evolving nazi’ism.
All Confederate statues should be torn down and destroyed. The South lost the war; we don’t honor losers in America, and least of all – traitors. Those that fought with the South can stay in history books and be explained as traitors to the USA who lost in their attempt to destroy this country. No one should fly the Dixie flag and if they do, they should be investigated for treason.
