Minnesota man arrested in Ames after leaving explicit notes on women’s cars in Ames

AMES – A Minnesota man has been arrested after leaving sexually explicit notes on women’s cars in Ames.

In the evening hours of May 28, 2019 the Ames Police Department received several reports of suspicious notes left on vehicles in different businesses around Ames. The victims in these cases all reported the notes gave specific physical and clothing descriptions of them. The notes also contained explicit sexual content.

On May 29, 2019 around 12:30 pm Ames Police Department received another report of a note left on a vehicle in the Target parking lot. Upon further investigation, the Ames Police Department arrested David J. Cheney, age 39, of Rochester, MN for seven counts of Harassment 3rd degree, a simple misdemeanor.

I sure wish NIT could get access to the notes. I bet they would make for some great laughs.

Not very tactful at getting women, but at least he didn’t throw anybody over a balcony.
