MASON CITY – A St. Paul man who was caught after he threw rocks at passing cars on a busy road near Mason City has pled guilty in the case.

Law enforcement was called around 8:31 PM Sunday night, September 24, to the area of Pure Pleasure, located at 10480 265th Street between Mason City and Clear Lake. It was reported that a male suspect was throwing rocks at passing vehicles. As a result, Cerro Gordo deputies arrived and arrested 33-year-old Ulysses Simpson Dunn, Jr. of St. Paul on a charge of second-degree criminal mischief. He was jailed.

Later, the charge was amended to third-degree criminal mischief. A plea deal was accepted in the case last week, and sentencing was set for November 6. Dunn was then released from jail under supervision on October 25.  Just two days later, a pre-trial violation report was filed against him in court.
