Waterloo police search for armed bank robber

WATERLOO – An armed robber made off with some cash after robbing a Waterloo bank, and police don’t have an arrest yet.

On Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 11:22 AM, Waterloo Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Regions Bank at 412 Mulberry Street. A suspect entered the bank, displayed a handgun to the teller and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a black male with a stocky build, wearing a black shirt, baseball cap and sunglasses.

The incident remains under investigation.

Hmmm ? Happens all the time – public servants (especially elected officials) taking from the little guy to give to the big GUY !

Probably an inside (next door) job.

Amazing, this bank sits right next to the police station in Waterloo.
