DES MOINES – AFSCME Iowa Council 61 and four public employees are suing over changes to collective bargaining law for state employees that drastically reduced their bargaining ability.

The defendants are the State of Iowa, the State Court Administrator, and the Iowa Public Employment Relations Board (PERB). AFSCME Iowa Council 61 is suing over a bill, HF 291, signed into law by Governor Terry Branstad on February 16.   The union describes the bill as “the unconstitutional gutting of public sector collective bargaining in Iowa.”

  1. Did you read that the DHS -department of scuz hacked into the election process in 4 states -Including Vice Presidents home state of Indiana ? If it were not for deceit and corruption and the democrat owned media they would be considered communists and traitors to America.

  2. This elite group of people should have NEVER been allowed to be unionized (CORRUPTED) to begin with.. A sham pulled on the private sector who foots the bill for their above average life style.

    1. Your an idiot. How about pulling people up instead of stripping them down. Why doesn’t the private sector offer some of the same benefits! Some of them offer even better benefits that’s why. Idiot!
