LONDON, ENGLAND – Beloved 80’s and 90’s iconic pop singer George Michael is dead at the age of 53, according to numerous published reports.
Michael rose to fame in 1982 as the lead singer in the band Wham! along with his partner, Andrew Ridgeley. He later become a successful solo artist. Wham! had hits such as “Everything She Wants” and “Careless Whisper” and “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” among many more. Michael charted 10 solo albums on the Billboard 200, according to Billboard.com, with three of them reaching the top 10: Faith, Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 and Older.
Prior to his death, Michael was busy completing his special documentary film ‘Freedom’, according to his website.
