NEW YORK – Donald Trump announced that he will be meeting Iowa Senator Joni Ernst today.
Trump made the announcement via Twitter, saying Monday morning “I look forward to meeting Joni Ernst today in New Jersey.”
Trump proclaimed that Ernst “has done a great job as Senator of Iowa”.
Ernst said nothing publicly about her meeting with the billionaire real estate and reality TV mogul, who has a stranglehold on the GOP Presidential nomination. She did remind folks Monday, July 4 to “thank and honor our servicemembers & veterans who have fought to preserve our freedom”.
Currently, Trump is narrowing his Vice Presidential choices and Ernst is said to be on the list, along with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Donald Trump owes his entire candidacy to CNN. CNN, for exploitative profitability reasons, and ratings built this guy up to where he is today. Had Trump not received all the free air, he wouldn’t be the GOP nominee. CNN has no soul other than for money and ratings.
You will be very angry, it sounds like, when Trump become President.

The same Joni Ernst that admires Sarah Palin for her leadership skills?
The same Joni Ernst that hates government handouts except when it came to her family?
The same Joni Ernst that believes that States have the right to nullify Federal laws?
Joni Ernst is in way over her head as a Senator, don’t even want to think about her as a VP
states do have the right to set their own laws, that is why we have states, and not a dictatorship here in the United States.
Yes, states are allowed to make laws, but federal law supersedes state law. If the laws are at odds, the feds win.
Why do you think no states have outlawed abortion? There are plenty that would jump all over that if they could.
Think before you speak (or write in this case). Or maybe just read a book.
Joni is doing a excellent job and was voted in by the citizens with brains. The Democrats just can’t stand it that she is doing such a good job. Who was it that ran against her anyway?
LVS, I did not vote for her nor would I vote for her in the next election. She has done exactly what was expected-toe the Republican party line and vote with the Republicans. She is not anything spectacular. Nor will she be Trumpie’s veep. She wouldn’t bring in enough votes to overcome all of his weaknesses. And her love of Sarah Palin already shows what she is all about-fluff.

The Trump-Gingrich may be dream ticket…for Democrats that is.
If there is a dream pairing for Democrats to paint the Republican ticket as a pair of aging white dudes, six times divorced, completely out of touch with the changing nature of work and life in America, it’s Trump-Gingrich.
Joni Ernst is just fluff.
By insulting his way through the Republican primaries, Trump lost any potential positive VP candidates available & is a left with the wannabes and has-beens.
That’s OK that he has a old white guy as V.P. It doesn’t take much to beat crooked Hitlary anyway. With any luck she will be in jail where most Democrats belong.
