The Central Iowa Metropolitan League, based upon guidance received from Governor’s Office of the State of Iowa, the Iowa Department of Education, the Iowa Department of Public Health, the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, and the Iowa High School Athletic Association, has released its procedures for spectator admission to high school baseball and softball games this summer.
These procedures were developed by the 18 member schools to help ensure that participants, staff, and spectators can safely enjoy both sports in a manner that promotes social distancing.

    1. Roster limits (players and coaches) at all levels are set at 28.

    2. Schools will distribute two (2) tickets per player in uniform and two (2) per coach at each level to be used at that level throughout the season. This ticket will allow the ticket holder to pay admission or use a school specific pass to gain entrance for the contest. The ticket only allows an individual to purchase admission and has no cash value and may only be used at the venue and event listed (i.e. varsity baseball tickets may only be used at the baseball field for the varsity contest).

    3. This ticket will ensure that the individual may purchase admission up until the conclusion of the first game of a doubleheader at the same level. In events featuring a doubleheader at the same level (varsity baseball, varsity softball, 10t h baseball, 9t h baseball, and 9t h softball), individual schools may allow additional persons to pay admission if space allows after the conclusion of the first game at their discretion.

    4. In combined events (JV/Varsity), the venue will be emptied after the first game. Individuals holding a ticket to pay for admission for both contests will only be required to pay one time.

    5. Individual schools are responsible for communicating their seating availability and social distancing plan for each venue. At all venues, individual family household units (2 people) are encouraged to sit together to help with overall capacity. Fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs in the event the bleachers meet capacity.

*Mason City will have an additional 38 seats in softball and an additional 48 seats in baseball at the conclusion of the first game and prior to the start of the second game. These seats are available to anyone on a first come, first serve basis. Please understand you may need to stand or bring your own chair for seating.

    6. Ticket gates will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the contest.

    7. Admission for all regular season contests is as follows: Varsity Baseball / Softball $5.00

JV Baseball / Softball when combined with Varsity $5.00
Lower Level contests (9t h, 10t h, JV when not with Varsity) $4.00 Exact change is appreciated at all locations.
*Mason City will not be charging an admission price at home events.

    8. Concessions will not be offered at venues with the exception of Harlan Rogers Park. Coolers will be allowed to be brought in for individual use except at Harlan Rogers Park and are subject to inspection.

9.. Individual schools may require additional measures be taken and those will be posted and communicated in advance. Spectators attending games at Des Moines Public School venues (East, Hoover, North, Lincoln, Roosevelt) are required to wear a mask.

    10. The CIML will continue to monitor, update, and communicate our information and procedures to keep everyone as safe as possible.
For more information, contact Tom Kinseth, Commissioner of the CIML at (515) 571-8980

Mason City offers guidance on park usage:

The playground equipment and shelter houses at all Mason City Parks are reopened for public usage. City staff is in the process of opening park facilities.

As we still need to be cautious about the COVID-19 pandemic, safety warning signage is placed around the parks and at playground areas as a reminder. The park equipment is not sanitized and patrons use the playground and other park facilities at your own risk.

While visiting any public space, use your best judgment and act responsibly.
Bring your own hand sanitizer supplies with you and use regularly
Adhere to the recommended guidelines of observing social distancing standards of staying at least 6 feet from others
If you or a family member does not feel well or have been sick, please stay home Wash your hands with soap and water after activity

Residents are asked to do their part to keep family, friends, neighbors and our community safe. Continue to enjoy our City parks and trails for recreational purposes – the City’s priority is protecting the health and safety of our residents and continuing to serve you.

Where was the press release on it. I casually knew about the parade by Lee Realty for propaganda and free advertising because it was shared by some Karens. If they wanted publicity, then tell the media about it.

Tearing down statues from American history, is not going to change/accomplish anything. What it will do is remove that history from Americas future. Soon politically correct history is all that you will have.

What taking down the statues will do is stop honoring those traitors. They won’t be eradicated. You can still read all about their crimes.

The flag and anthem are the very symbols that allow for protests so disrespecting them is stupid, like biting the hand that feeds you. No matter what side of anything you’re on the flag supports you.

Your comment,”I would encourage all to vote for the Socialist Workers Party.” is quite confusing.

You have the Socialist (Democrats) party, and you have the Workers (Republican) party.
How do you vote both ways, you only have 1 vote.

In 2012/2013 President Obama and Tom Perez were able to blend the Dream Defenders into an alignment with Farakahan, the Nation of Islam, and the New Black Panther Party. As an outcome of a more bitter ideology, the Dream Defenders became more antagonistic and combative when they launched the rebranded version, ‘Black Lives Matter’. The newly blended Black Lives Matter network had their first heavy visibility with the “Justice for Mike Brown” movement that destroyed Ferguson,

Of course Obama has a stake in this. Trump was destroying his legacy bit by bit and had to come up with a plan do you really think he cared about Floyd? he saw an opening to cause tension and he took it. i’m watching Floyd’s funeral with Al Sharpton shooting off his hate. don’t see Obama there, don’t see Biden there, I would think if either one of them cared that much they would be there!

We have never seen anything like the first three-and-a-half years of Donald Trump’s presidency… the Russian collusion hoax, the special counsel’s obstruction of justice trap, the impeachment effort to stop the exposure of Obama’s corruption in Ukraine, the coordinated Blue city/state response to the Wuhan virus intended to inflict maximum economic damage, and now Obama’s race-based uprising wrapped together with the economy crippling actions of Antifa suddenly acceptable in the midst of the pandemic…

Now Obama is returning the favor of his Alinsky masters, training and cloning an army of social justice bullies to carry on his revolution to “fundamentally transform America.” He’s doing it mainly through a little-known but well-funded group called Organizing for Action, or OFA, which will outlast his administration.
