CHARLES CITY – A fire on Tuesday morning this week claimed the life of a Charles City man.
Steven Sadler, age 61, was discovered by fire fighters in an apartment at the 2100 block of Clarkview Drive after 4 AM Tuesday morning, November 10. The building had been evacuated due to a fire that produced heavy smoke.
Sadler had been taken to Floyd County Medical Center but later passed away. According his obituary, Mr. Sadler “was a free spirited man who loved to live life on the edge. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed visits from his many nieces and nephews.”
