UPDATE: Man facing two drunk driving charges now in jail

MASON CITY – A Mason City man caught twice in recent weeks by Mason City police for drunk driving is behind bars for skipping court for driving with a revoked license.

Donald Ralph Meade, age 46 was caught by Mason City police for drunk driving 0n September 28. He has pleaded not guilty and will face a jury trial on February 17.

Meade was caught again for drunk driving by Mason City police early on the morning of November 21. According to police, at approx. 1:49 AM that morning, an officer witnessed a truck swerving or weaving near 16th and North Delaware. The driver spun or squealed his tires before pulling into a driveway in the 1600 block of North Delaware. The driver then attempted to run from the truck into a residence but was stopped by the officer. Meade (the driver) was soon arrested and police charged him with careless driving, interference with official acts, driving with a revoked license and harassment in the second degree. He has entered not guilty pleas and awaits trial dates later this year.

Meade pleaded guilty to public intoxication after an incident on September 17 and paid fines and court fees totaling $195.

Sad !! Been there done that . Think he may need some AA. Took me along time to get it,I have never been to new jail,and don’t plan on it. I am going on 13 yrs of sobriety . Good luck buddy !!!
