CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man was arrested for refusing to leave an apartment designated for low-income families.
Charles City police were called to the Clarkview Apartments, 2100 Clarkview Drive, at about 4:35 AM on October 7 when a caller reported that a visitor refused to leave.
Once police arrived, they encountered 26-year-old Corey Hanley and arrested him on a charge of criminal trespass. He was released from jail later that day and awaits a non-jury trial on November 3.
Hanley is also awaiting a court date on a charge of aggravated misdemeanor habitual driving while barred.
