CHARLES CITY – A 77-year-old man was cited by police after striking a hospital with his pickup truck.
According to Charles City police, Gilbert Gerleman of Charles City was driving his 1993 GMC Sonoma pickup truck when he “struck” the Floyd County Medical Center. Police said $500 of damage was done to the property there.
Gerleman was cited only for driving an unregistered vehicle, a simple misdemeanor. He has no other Iowa citations, records show.
