MASON CITY – A Mason City woman recently arrested for a domestic assault pled guilty Friday to simple assault.
Barbara Hjelle, age 48, was sentenced to 2 days in jail and a $65 fine by Judge Karen Salic. She is now serving the jail time.
Police were called to 810 Commercial Alley on April 21st at about 10:11 PM after a caller reported a domestic assault. Police arrived, and after a brief investigation, Hjelle was placed under arrest.
