MASON CITY – A Mason City woman was arrested for a domestic assault Monday night.
Police were called to 810 Commercial Alley Monday night at about 10:11 PM after a caller reported a domestic assault. Police arrived, and after a brief investigation, 48-year-old Barbara Hjelle was placed under arrest and charged with serious domestic assault.
Hjelle was booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail and soon released, pending a court date.
