MASON CITY – Police located a wanted Mason City woman early Tuesday morning and placed her under arrest.
Peggijo Lynn Stinnett, age 28, was wanted on a warrant related to violating the probation on a third degree theft charge she pled guilty to in 2013. The two year prison term was suspended in that case. She was assessed $499.00 in court costs and fees, but never made a payment. Police located Stinnett at the 500 block of 4th Street NE at about 4:43 AM Tuesday and took her into custody.
Stinnett remains jailed on $2,000 bond as she awaits a May 5, 2014 probation revocation hearing.
Stinnett also pled guilty in February to third degree theft and was assessed $306.90 in court costs and fees, and has made no payment on that. In addition, Stinnett pled guilty to fifth degree theft and eluding police after an incident on October of 2013 where she and a man, Michael Evenson, fled the Kohl’s Department Store and tried to hide in a nearby lake before police caught them. She owes the entire $801.08 in court costs and fines associated with that incident.
