INDIANAPOLIS – UNI’s Joe Colon earned a top seed at the NCAA wrestling tournament, while four other Panthers were seeded in the top 15.

The NCAA on Wednesday announced the 330 student-athletes, including 45 at-large selections, for the 2014 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, set for March 20-22 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Seven Panthers are headed to the NCAA tournament, which is the most since 2007-08 when nine qualified. UNI is looking to improve on last year’s 15th-place finish when four wrestlers qualified. Head coach Doug Schwab crowned his first two All-Americans since taking over the Panther program. Schwab is in his fourth year at UNI.

Ryan Loder has the chance to be the 33rd Panther to earn at least two All-American titles. He is the only returning All-American on this year’s team, having placed seventh last year.
