DES MOINES – Mason City’s Kaz Onoo became a state champion at 126 lbs. at the Iowa State Wrestling Championships held this weekend in Des Moines.
Kaz won with a 3-0 score over Bryce Meyer of Fort Madison. He was ranked #1 in the state the entire year.
Congratulations are in order. Kaz. As a former wrestler,…you’ve got it going on dude. Your unorthodox style of wrestling is quite impressive and I will watch you and hope collegiate wrestling follows suit. Good luck bud. Oh, and go get em Joe Colon.
Congratulations Kaz. It took a lot of hard work to accomplish what you did.
Way to go Kaz. You’ve worked very hard to get this state championship. Also congrats to your teammates, you guys did awesome this year.
