MASON CITY – The No. 7 NIACC wrestling team stopped No. 5 Ellsworth 37-15 in a junior college dual meet Wednesday night in the NIACC Recreation Center.
The Trojans won three of the six contested matches. Ellsworth, which placed third at the NWCA NJCAA national duals last weekend, forfeited at four weights.
NIACC, which placed fifth at the national duals, received wins from freshman 149-pounder Nosomy Pozo (a pin in 2:58), freshman 184-pounder Andy Glaser (a 7-0 decision) and sophomore 197-pounder Shakheim Chapman (a 14-2 major decision).
NIACC (5-1 in duals) returns to action Saturday at the regional duals in Rochester, Minn.
