From the Ames Police Department, December 23, 2013:
With the snow and cold and storm, our officers mostly dealt with issues related to weather. The snow ordinance was used and some cars were towed this time. We try hard to get the word out so we don’t have to tow anyone and we appreciate all of you helping us get the word out.
Most City Offices are closed on the 24th and 25th. Obviously we are a 24/7 operation, but some of our services will also be closed. Police Records, Evidence, Administration and Investigations will all be closed and reopen on Thursday.
Over the weekend we arrested a total of 10 people on the following 13 charges:
4 – Public Intoxication
2 – OWI 1st
2 – Possession of a Controlled substance
2 – Possession of drug paraphernalia
1 – Interference with Official Acts
1 – Warrant Arrest
1 – Theft 5th
