Man who stole skid loader sentenced to probation, fined

MASON CITY – A North Iowa man who plead guilty to stealing a skid loader was sentenced Tuesday.

Records show that Mark Richard Petersen, age 46 of Plymouth, plead guilty to one count of first degree theft and charges of on-going criminal conduct, second degree theft and first degree theft were dismissed by Judge Colleen Weiland.

Petersen had a 10 year prison sentence suspended by Weiland, and was ordered to pay $7,055 in court fees and fines and serve 3 years of probation.

The skid loader – a Case 430, stolen from the 100 block of 4th St SW sometime in February – belonged to Red Line Concrete and was recovered near Greenfield, Iowa.

  1. judge and county attorney are worthless pieces of s**t. and also we have a lot of dope dealers that are getting off with a slap on the wrist so who ever keeps writing about losing everything read the paper. “enough said”

    1. If we incarcerated everyone you’d like behind bars, you’d be broke and over half the population would be in prison. YOU just want people you don’t like behind bars, which is most people who disagree with your right wing agenda.

  2. Just thank God he didn’t get caught with drugs or he’d have been sent up the river and all his assets seized for forfeiture.
