MASON CITY – The public is invited to meet the four candidates who have been chosen as finalists in the search for the presidency at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC).

Each candidate will spend a full day on campus in interviews with various College boards and employee groups. Each candidate’s schedule will include two open forums. The public is invited to attend those and meet the candidates.

The public forums will be held at 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on each interview day, in room 101 of the Activity Center on the NIACC campus, 500 College Drive, Mason City.

The candidates will visit campus on these dates:

Ann Valentine: Monday September 16

Schulz, Steven: Tuesday September 17

Steve Carignan: Monday September 23

Greg Schmitz: Tuesday September 24

“This is an opportunity for the public to meet each candidate and have input into the important process of selecting a president for the College,” said NIACC Board Chair Toni Noah of Charles City. “We encourage people to attend.”

  1. Anything would be better than Deborah Derr. But reading the profiles of these candidates, we have great choices.

NIACC continues to do great things. 14th in the nation for academics for community colleges!!

Now with the expanded welding program..they respond to the needs of the region.

    Positive stuff….
