MASON CITY – A Mason City man was arrested after allegedly committing a serious assault at his home on Tuesday.
Jay Barrientes, 46, was arrested on June 11th at about 8:55 pm for a serious assault at his residence, 305 N Pierce. A victim had alleged that Barrientes assaulted her a short time earlier near the intersection of Highway 122 and Taft Avenue. No weapons were involved and Barrientes is alleged to have used his hands to assault the female. Her visible injuries appeared to be non-serious.
Later the next morning on June 12th at about 1:46 am, a disturbance was reported in the 200-300 block of N. Pierce Avenue between subjects in a vehicle parked on the street, subjects who were at Barrientes’ residence, and a neighbor. There were accusations that one of the subjects had a gun. The subject that was alleged to have the gun has a current concealed carry permit. The stories conflicted between the three groups and no charges were filed. No one was injured. Barrientes was not present as he was already in jail from the assault incident several hours earlier.
Barrientes has been charged with assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor. A no-contact order has been placed by the judge, and Barrientes faces a court date on June 28th.
I’ve had some person run in with this punk. The last time he was begging to suck me off for an eight ball. Him and his family need to be locked up for being worthless scums. Not a one of them has ever done any good for society. Put em all down like the trash they are

I’m thinking that this is the guy that someone beat to an inch of his life a few years ago. Maybe trying to get some revenge. I think that if you live by the sword, you can get exterminated by the sword. I’m agreeing with LVS, what a shame…..
Jay was one that killed the cop. Guy baker took the rap because je has AIDS and will die soon anyway.

I worked with Jay for awhile and he was a really bright guy. It is a shame that he turned out this way.
This is the same guy who was with Guy Baker when he murdered a cop in Minneapolis.
