MASON CITY – Mason City police reported Thursday that they made an arrest today in a break-in and assault case that took place several days ago.
According to police, an investigation by the MCPD into an alleged break-in and assault has lead to the arrest of Brian Paul Glascock, age 56.
Police had responded late in the evening on April 20th to 804 North Federal Avenue when a male called and reported he was being attacked by a neighbor who had broken into his apartment. The alleged attacker was transported to North Iowa Mercy Medical Center where he was treated for injuries suffered when the caller defended himself.
Today, Glascock was arrested and charged with first degree burglary, a class B felony. If convicted, Glascock faces up to 25 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
